Exposure to the sun, strong cleaners, age, and genetics can cause broken veins (or broken capillaries) on the face and legs. Although spider veins pose no medical problems, they can detract from the natural beauty of your skin.
Our modern laser technologies can help minimize the appearance of spider veins, rosacea, small hemangiomas, cherry hemangiomas while preserving delicate surrounding skin.
HOW DOES LASER VEIN THERAPY WORK?
We use state-of-the-art lasers to gently destroy and close broken veins in a nonsurgical treatment. After treatment, your body will gradually absorb the treated veins until they are no longer visible. Some blood vessels disappear immediately, but others fade or disappear over several weeks. In some cases, treated blood vessels disappear, return, and require additional treatment. In most cases, it takes more than 1 treatment to clear all broken capillaries in a given area.
During laser vein therapy, most people describe having a slight stinging sensation that requires no anesthesia.
After treatment, you might have mild, temporary (a day or 2) inflammation, especially if you have laser treatment on the delicate skin under your eyes. Occasionally, the vessels will appear darker for a few days until they absorb into the body and may appear to look like a small bruise.
You can return to most normal activities immediately after treatment for spider veins, but you should avoid vigorous exercise, harsh skin cleansers, and the sun for several days. You should also avoid hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms and hot baths for two weeks after your treatment to help keep the newly shut down vessels from re-opening.
