Forever Young BBL Photofacial™
Forever Young uses broad band light (BBL) that gently heat the upper layers of the skin. As light energy is absorbed, it stimulates skin cells to generate new collagen. This helps to restore the skin to a youthful state, safely, with virtually no downtime. Pigmentation issues associated with the skin, such as facial redness, sun/age spots, small facial vessels and hyperpigmentation will gradually fade away after 2-5 treatments. Popular treatment areas include the face, neck, décolletage, arms and hands. Similar to laser hair removal, most clients describe a photofacial to feel like a light snap of a rubber band. Some redness and slight swelling may occur. After treatment, your skin will feel smoother, fine wrinkles and pores will be less noticeable and uneven skin tones will improve significantly creating a youthful appearance.
Each photofacial session of this laser treatment only takes about 15-30 minutes depending on which body areas are treated. The exact duration also depends on the patient’s individual condition and skin type. Before getting started, we’ll explain each of the treatments you need and how long the interval between treatments is.
No. While each client is different, photofacials are minimally-invasive. Most clients require no downtime, and return to their normal activities directly or the next day. You may experience a “sunburn” type feeling immediately after treatment and some redness. We recommend you do not participate in heavy exercise the day of treatment, although normal activity is fine. You could certainly return to work the same day you are treated, but most clients prefer to return to normal activites the following day.
BBL can effectively treat discoloration and textural irregularities that make you look older than your age. But even if the procedure gave you excellent results, you will continue to age if you expose yourself to sun and environmental elements that cause premature aging. If you want to keep your skin looking youthful and healthy, we recommend minimizing sun exposure and receiving Forever Young BBL treatments several times a year.
