Botox® Cosmetic

Botox treats frown lines around the mouth (marionette lines), gummy smile, bands in the neck (platysmal banding), necklace lines, and excessive underarm sweating (hyperhidrois)

Botox is an effective treatment that corrects and softens minor wrinkles and lines, including:

  • Forehead creases
  • Nose bridge creases
  • Eye wrinkles
  • Crow’s feet
  • Frown lines
  • Vertical lip lines

How does Botox work?

Botox works by relaxing the facial muscles and preventing them from contracting and pulling to create facial lines. In addition to smoothing out wrinkles and lines for a beautiful, refreshed look, Botox can help prevent wrinkles from deepening.

Results of Botox are gradual and take up to 2 weeks to become completely visible. Although they can last several months or more, results are temporary. For this reason, Botox injections must be repeated for continued success. Over time, having Botox injections in the same area can yield longer-term results between treatments. Botox injections can be combined with facial fillers for a completely rejuvenated look.

Botox injections are made with a very fine needle for utmost comfort. Because Botox is delivered precisely in very small areas, several injections often are needed to fully treat lines and wrinkles. When used properly, Botox side effects are very rare.

After treatment with Botox, you may experience tenderness and slight bruising for a couple of days.

How does Botox Treat excessive underarm sweating?

Botox treatment can help control this condition by temporarily blocking the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. Excessive sweating should cease within approximately four weeks of your treatment. Periodic treatments can last from 6-8 months. Call or come in, and we can tell you more about this very effective treatment.

Your doctor or nurse might recommend more than 1 type of injectable filler to help you achieve the best possible results. As with Botox, you may get other spa treatments over time, including peels and facials, to further refine the look and feel of your skin and maximize results from your facial filler treatment!

For a completely refreshed, outstanding result,
you may combine dermal fillers with Botox injections.

Facial fillers are given with a very fine needle to ensure comfort. Safe and FDA-approved, dermal fillers are very rarely associated with complications of any kind.

Treatment usually only takes 15 to 30 minutes. The effects of facial filler injections are immediate, but they also often improve over time with the production of new collagen. Results typically last 6 months to 1 year, with repeated treatments often lasting longer. After treatment with dermal fillers, you should avoid the sun, alcohol, cold outdoor activities, and exercise for 24 hours.

You may reapply your makeup and go home or return to work after you have had dermal filler injections. Most side effects such as mild redness or tenderness at the injection sites, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, itching, bruising, or discoloration are temporary (less than 5 days).
